Since "Data ONLY eSIM" and "Voice + Data eSIM" are two different products, it is not possible to simply switch between these plans. The same applies to Data Only eSIM - Pocket WiFi, etc... It is only possible to change the monthly package of the same product (5 GB to 25 GB or 25 GB to 5 GB, etc.).
*If you would like to change your current Data ONLY eSIM to a physical Data ONLY SIM card, please refer to this FAQ: I want to change my current SIM to another form with the same plan (eSIM > physical SIM / physical > eSIM).
1. To change your plan from "Data ONLY eSIM" to "Voice + Data eSIM", please cancel the current contract (Data Only) by submitting a termination form by the 25th of the month, then apply for a new contract (Voice+Data). The new contract will start immediately and another registration fee will be charged.
The discount for the registration fee is 5,500 JPY => 110 JPY (you will need to use the same email address when you sign up for the new plan). The discount is a special arrangement so if you would like to change your plan from "Data ONLY SIM card" to "Voice + Data eSIM", please contact us.
If your payment method is Smart Pit (cash payment at the convenience store), please note that a deposit of 20,000 JPY will be required for the "Voice + Data eSIM" Plan if you would like to continue to use the Smart Pit payment for the new contract. This is different from the registration fee.

2. To terminate your contract, please log in to your Sakura Mobile My Page and submit a termination form by the 25th of the month※. You can read the following article for more instructions on cancelling your plan.
※ If you submit the termination form after the 25th of the month, the plan will be terminated one month later.
※ The last bill for the old SIM card plan (Data Only) will be charged one month after you terminate the contract.
