To be able to use our short-term travel SIM card, your device must meet the following conditions:
- SIM-free device (Unlocked Device).
- Must be physical SIM card compatible (make sure your device has a SIM card tray).
- Capable of receiving Docomo signals (band 1 and band 19 frequencies).
Band 1 (2100MHz): Most city areas
Band 19 (800MHz): Rural areas, mountains, lakes, islands, suburbs of Kyoto, Nara, and Hokkaido except for the following band 1 areas: Sapporo, North of Okinawa, and Takayama
Some models of Android devices do not support the radio frequency band 19 (800Mhz) signals.
The reception in the rural areas cannot be guaranteed if your device does not support band 19 signals so we suggest you use band 19 compatible devices or rent our WiFi router.
If you are unsure about the supported bands, please contact us and let us know the device name and model number. If possible, please also tell us the specific location where you plan to use the SIM card. We will do some research and get back to you with more details.
It is necessary to set up the APN to use the data in the SIM card. Please refer to our APN setup page for more instructions.
