The traditional PPPoE connection used for Fiber Internet has become congested in parts of Japan due to rising traffic and an increasing number of users and connected devices.
During peak hours, PPPoE login servers may take longer to respond, adding latency and slowing down connections.
In contrast, IPv6 uses the IPoE method, bypassing the congested PPPoE network. This enables more stable performance, providing a smoother experience regardless of location or time of day, even during peak hours.
For customers who need it, we can still offer a PPPoE connection if required. Please let us know on your application form or contact us if you already have an existing contract.
