If you make a long-term order with us and choose the payment method as Smart Pit Payment (Paying in the convenience store) you will have to pay a Deposit in addition to the one-time registration fees.
Kindly be assured this deposit is to cover your future payment, in other words, it will cover bills you will need to pay regardless. Specifically, the deposit will cover the last two bills of your contract, when you terminate it.
For Sakura Fiber Internet, the deposit will be 2 months worth of the plan monthly fee.
The deposit will be 6,480 JPY x 2 = 12,960 JPY (plus tax)
Due to the billing cycle, there will be unpaid bills after you terminate the contract.
Below is an example of the billing cycle.
Usage Month | Billing (invoice sent to your email) | Payment (Smart Pit Card) |
January | End of February | Between 1st - 10th March |

As you can see, the bill is always paid 2 months later.
For example
When returning back home on March 15th (cancellation of the contract will be at the end of March since we do not prorate the last month)
January usage fee → Can be paid from March 1st to 10th
February usage fee → Must be paid between April 1st to 10th but since you are not in Japan anymore, you cannot pay the fee at the convenience store in Japan
Usage fee for March → Must be paid between May 1st to 10th but since you are not in Japan anymore, you cannot pay the fee at the convenience store in Japan
For example, if you terminate the contract in June, you do not need to pay for June or May.
