This 5G service requires your phone to support 5G frequency signal (Band n28, n78, n79, n257). If your phone does not support these, then you may not be able to use the service at all after you change the setting to 5G. Please check the compatibility before changing.

How do I check if my device supports 5G or not?
First, log in to your [Sakura Mobile My Page].

If it's your first time to log in to the [Sakura Mobile My Page], kindly refer to this article on How to log in to [Sakura Mobile My Page] for the first time?
1- After you log in to your account, please click Configurations on the menu.
2- Check the Use 5G box. A warning notification pop up window will appear. Please read the terms carefully and click OK.
3- After you click OK, there will be a message displayed that says your 5G setting has been set successfully.
4- If your device network does not display 5G automatically, you will have to change it manually in your Settings.
For iPhone
Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options or Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options.
Select the 5G option.
For Android
Each device model may have different Settings menu, but you can try go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode or try search Network on your device. Then select the 5G option.
5- Please be aware that changing the 5G setting can only be done once a day.
If you try to turn OFF the 5G service on the same day. A message that says "we cannot process the request" will appear.
