In some cases, even though there is a fiber port present in the residence, there are a number of factors that require additional work. These include the following:
・The current fiber-optic port may not be registered to NTT and be part of a different service.
・Additional settings/configurations need to be performed to get the internet to work properly on the NTT network.
・The person before (or building management company) may have disconnected the line but left the port.
・The current fiber-optic port may still be under a contract (You will need to inquire about the current line if it is under contract).
As the installation type is determined by NTT, we are unable to change the type of installation from our end. We are only able to proceed with the information the NTT system provides us with.
If there is a port in the residence however, this means that the physical installation should be able to proceed without any issues. Either the line will be reconfigured to use the port you found, or the installation team will proceed with running the line for the new port through the same method as the current line.
