If you have a new residence card issued on or after June 14, 2026, online identity verification (eKYC) may not be available with that card yet.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We understand that this may prevent your application from being completed smoothly at this time.
The new residence card began being issued on June 14, 2026. However, because the final specifications were released very close to the launch date, some eKYC systems, including ours, are still being updated to support the new card format.
For SIM and eSIM plans with a Japanese phone number, identity verification is required by Japanese law. Therefore, if you would like to receive your SIM card by post or your eSIM by email, we must complete identity verification before we can process delivery by mail or email.
Please confirm the type of residence card you have below and the options available for the new residence card.

If you have the new residence card, please choose one of the options below.
Option 1: Complete eKYC with a My Number Card or Japanese driver's license
If you have one of the following documents, you can complete online identity verification:
・Japanese My Number Card
・Japanese driver's license
Please open the application link we sent to you by email ("Last steps to complete your order"), proceed through the steps, and select the relevant document on the eKYC screen.
After identity verification is completed, we can proceed with your application.
Option 2: Apply using an original Certificate of Residence (住民票, juuminhyou) by postal mail
If you do not have a Japanese My Number Card or Japanese driver's license, you may apply using a Certificate of Residence issued in Japan.
Please contact us using the Contact Form and tell us that you would like to apply using a Certificate of Residence.
After we confirm your request, we will ship your order with a return envelope included. When you receive the package, please place your original Certificate of Residence in the return envelope and send it back to us. After we receive and verify your Certificate of Residence, we will activate your SIM/eSIM.

Option 3: Pick up at an office
You can also pick up your order at our Shinjuku office or a partner office.
If you would like to pick up your order at an office, please open the application link we sent to you by email, proceed through the steps, and select office pickup.

Option 4: Pick up at an airport
Airport pickup may be available at the following airports:
・Haneda Airport
・Narita Airport
・Kansai International Airport
・Fukuoka Airport
If you would like to change your order to airport pickup, please contact us using the Contact Form.
Please include your contract code, preferred airport, terminal, pickup date, and pickup time.
