5G network is only available for Voice+Data plans. You cannot use a 5G connection with a Data-only plan.
In order to connect to using 5G, you will need to manually enable this option online through your Sakura Mobile My Page.
Key points
1. This option cannot be enabled the same day you begin your contract.
2. This option can only be configured between 9AM-8PM.
3. Your device must support the relevant 5G frequencies.
5G frequency
Our 5G service requires your phone to support the following 5G frequency signals: Band n28, n78, n79, and n257. If your phone does not support these, then you may not be able to use the service at all (even 4G) after you change the setting to 5G. Please check the compatibility of your phone before changing.
If you do not know how to check whether or not your device supports 5G, please read here first.
