Overview of eSIM → physical SIM
Voice+Data (with a Japanese phone number)
Procedure:
1. You will need to upload your residence card, Japanese driver's license, or My Number card with your address on it to a link we will provide you.
2. We will charge the 3,300 JPY reissuance fee.
3. Once the fee has been paid, we will order a new SIM card with the same phone number to be delivered to the address written on your ID.
We cannot send this SIM card to any address except one written on a valid ID.
You must receive this package in person from the deliveryman.
Please keep the following precautions in mind:
1. Your previous eSIM/SIM card will be deactivated once the reissuance has begun (when we order the new SIM card).
2. You will then not be able to use your phone number until you receive the new SIM card.
Data-only (no Japanese phone number)
Unfortunately, it is not possible to reissue the same Data-only SIM/eSIM. Instead, you will need to place a new application for a new Data-only SIM/eSIM.
Procedure:
1. First, you will need to terminate your current Data-only contract.
FAQ: How do I terminate/cancel my monthly SIM card/eSIM contract?
If the termination deadline for the month has passed (after the 25th), please contact us for assistance.
2. Then, you will have to reapply for another Data-only SIM
・ You may reapply through the following link: Apply here
・ This link will apply a discount to the registration fee.
・ The discount is only valid if you use the same email address as your previous contract.
・ We will check for your existing contract before approving an application made through this link.
Please keep the following precautions in mind:
1. We can only terminate contracts at the end of each month. We recommend customers time the application of the new Data-only plan for the end of the month, to avoid paying the full monthly fee for both contracts at once.
2. The new Data-only SIM will come with a new line number.
3. Our billing cycle is postpaid, so even after you terminate a contract, the last bill for your last month of usage will be due approximately one month later.
