If you have received a PDP Authentication error, there are multiple possible solutions.
Please review the following solutions in order based on your device's current settings.
Solution 1 - eSIM activation
If you have an eSIM, it may not have been activated yet.
Please check Step 2 of the eSIM Setup Procedure for detailed instructions.
You should have tapped a pink "Activate this eSIM" button if completed.
Solution 2 - APN profile
You may have not installed the APN profile.
To check if you have installed it or not, please go to the following page:
Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
If you have installed the profile, your screen should look like the picture below.
If there is nothing installed here, access this link while using Safari: Install APN directly
You may need to restart your phone after installation.
Solution 3 - Reinstall APN profile
If you have confirmed that the APN profile is installed and restarted your phone, but you still receive the PDP Authentication error, please follow the below procedure.
IMPORTANT: This solution's effectiveness relies on each step being followed in the exact order listed.
1. Please turn off your other SIM cards/eSIMs. If it is a physical SIM card, please take it out of your phone.
2. Delete/Remove the Sakura Mobile APN profile.
(Go to Settings > General > VPN & Data Management > Select Sakura Mobile profile > Remove Profile)
3. RESTART the phone/device.
4. After the restart, please reinstall the APN profile on your device on a stable WiFi connection.
※Please note that you MUST install the APN profile by using "Safari", not other browsers.

5. You may need to restart your device once more after reinstalling the APN profile.
Solution 4 - Network Reset
If you have tried the above solution and your data still will not connect, then you will have to perform a Network Reset.
Please note that this reset will not affect any data stored on your phone other than network settings; however, saved WiFi passwords/networks are included in the settings that will be reset.
IMPORTANT: This solution's effectiveness relies on each step being followed in the exact order listed.
1. Ensure you are connected to a stable WiFi connection, not another SIM's data connection.
2. Turn off other SIMs/eSIMs on your phone.
3. Delete/Remove the Sakura Mobile APN profile.
(Go to Settings > General > VPN & Data Management > Select Sakura Mobile profile > Remove Profile)
4. Restart your phone
5. Perform a Network Reset:
Before iOS 15: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
After iOS 15: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
6. After the reset, please reinstall the APN profile on your device on a stable WiFi connection.
※Please note that you MUST install the APN profile by using "Safari", not other browsers.

7. You may need to restart your device after reinstalling the APN profile.
